Lago de Sanabria is a glacial lake, the main tributary of which is the Tera River. Its area is 3.47 km², the maximum depth is 53 meters. It is located in the national park, which is famous for the largest population of wild wolves in Western Europe (they inhabit the Sierra de la Culebra range).
