Cabo de Palos Lighthouse

The nineteenth-century lighthouse rising on a beautiful rocky cape was declared a monument and entered into the official register. In ancient times there was probably a temple here dedicated to the Phoenician deity of the sky - Baal-Hammon. The first watchtower stood on the cape in the 16th century in connection with numerous attacks by Berber pirates.
