Parador de Alarcón

The history of this powerful, Muslim fortress dates back to the eighth century. In 1184, it was conquered by King Alfonso VIII and from then on remained in Spanish hands. Currently, some of its restored rooms have been transformed into an elegant hotel. The castle can also be visited with a guide.
