Sklabiňa Castle

A defensive structure from the first half. In the 13th century it was burnt down during the Hussite wars, and then strongly fortified at the end of the 15th century. From the middle of the In the 18th century, the castle began to decline, and the destruction was done by the Nazis in 1944, during the fight against the Slovak National Uprising. Currently, the ruins of the castle are secured and made available to visitors.
