The Neptune Fountain stands at the Market Square in Prešov. The statue of the sea lord was made in the first half of the 19th century by Košice mason Vincent Staviarsky. It depicts Neptune leaning on a trident. Around him you can see the forms of aquatic animals.
The fountain is a remnant of one of the ten city cisterns from which water was drawn before the waterworks were built. The sculptural decoration comes from the 19th century. Neptune stands on a rock, and around it on four sides of the fountain basin are a frog, crocodile, snake and fish.
