Sforii Street is near the historic Șchei Gate. It is not only the narrowest street in Brasov, but also one of the narrowest streets in all of Europe - narrower than are not only L'Androuno streets in France, Spreuerhofstraße in Germany and Parliament Street in England. It is 80 m long, and its width ranges from 111 to 135 cm. It was probably built in the 17th century for firefighters.
