The Palacio del Marqués de Pombal Palace is located in the town of Oeiras in Portugal. He is inscribed on the National Monuments List. It presents a combination of baroque and rococo styles. Tourists can admire the architecture of the palace and explore its interior. In the original rooms you can see paintings, statues, frescoes and azulejos tiles.
Palacio del Marqués de Pombal was founded in the second half of the eighteenth century, according to the design of Carlos Mardel. It was the ancestral seat of the Marquis de Pombal. The residence has been managed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation since 2004.
The palace is surrounded by magnificent Rococo-style gardens. Well maintained vegetation is surrounded by rustic decorations and winding gravel paths. In the garden you can also see the grotto, the fountain with the waterfall and the water cascade.
