Platform de Arte, or the International Art Center, is a modern tourist attraction. The object created as a result of cooperation with the artist Jose De Guimaraes is an attempt to transform the old city center of Guimarães into a multifunctional space for artistic, cultural and social activities. The modernist building contrasts with the area full of old-fashioned houses and medieval monuments.
The International Art Center in Guimarães has a permanent exhibition of works by artist José Guimarães. Exhibition areas and multifunctional rooms for additional classes, performances and shows have been made available. The de Arte platform is also Creative Labs, i.e. support offices for businesses related to the creative industry.
In a modern building, workshops are held to support the creativity of young creators. Their main task is to be to promote native art and provide artists with conditions for development. Tourists will pay attention primarily to the original appearance of the object and interesting exhibitions and shows taking place at the Art Center.
