Exploratory Living Science Center is a modern children's amusement park and research center. Demonstrations, exhibitions and special activities are meant to encourage visitors to learn through play. Located on the banks of the Mondego River, the center was established in 2009, but activities promoting science, conducted by the Exploratory organization, have been ongoing in Coimbra since 1995.
The Coimbra Science Center, located in a 2,500-square-meter complex, invites children to explore, experiment and play while learning about the laws of science. In a modern facility, visitors can, for example, watch shows at the Hemispherium cinema, which displays images on a special dome. Other attractions include visiting the spider exhibition, an exhibition about the Rosetta space travel and a dinosaur gallery.
Although most of the shows are dedicated to the youngest, whole families will find entertainment here. Exploratory Living Science Center is not only interesting exhibitions, but also interesting experiments and experiences that allow direct meetings with science.
