The baroque buildings of the church and the house for pilgrims and the poor are among the most important monuments of Braga. The complex was founded in the 16th century by Bishop Diogo de Sousa. The current appearance with a monumental church facade was given to them in the 18th century. The church has a richly decorated grave in which the remains of Saint Mark are kept. A part of the former pilgrim's house has been in operation since 2016.
