Tadeusz Kosciuszko Museum

The museum is dedicated to the life and accomplishments of Tadeusz Kościuszko and the Battle of Maciejowice. Located on the first floor in the monumental Town Hall, it presents, among others, the piece of the bed wounded Kościuszko rested on, the model of the battlefield, and militaria related to this event. Guides talk about places concerning the battle and organize walking Kościuszko's raids on its anniversary.

The dramatic battle in Maciejowice which went down in history as a symbol of the heroism of Polish soldiers was largely promoted by the Zamoyski Family, heirs of the property. The museum was established in 1988 thanks to the efforts of the Association of Friends of Maciejowice. The facility aims to promote patriotism and commemorate Tadeusz Kościuszko.
