St. Peter and Paul church

Local name: Kościół św. Piotra i Pawła

It is a historic church built in the 14th century. It attracts attention with its beautiful, late gothic architecture. The interior of the temple is furnished with items from various periods, starting from the 14th century.

The church was erected on the site of an older wooden structure. It was rebuilt several times after fires. Its tower was also extended until it reached today's height - 66 meters.

The furnishings of the temple are mostly neo-Gothic, however, older elements - baroque and gothic have also been preserved. The most valuable works of sacred art of the Church of St. Peter and Paul include: the sculpture of St. Anna Samotrzecia from 1500, the reliquary of St. Ides made around 1400, liturgical vessels and a baptismal font from the 14th century. Two historic bells - the 16th and 18th century - have also survived to the present day.
