Kościeliska Valley

Kościelisko Valley is one of the most picturesque places in the whole Tatra Mountains. In its area stretching up to 35 km2, there are a whole host of wonderful natural and man-made objects.
Kościelisko Valley is a lowering of the area surrounded by impressive hills: the Slaughterhouse, Maczęniak and Little Regla. From the Koscielisko Valley you can admire many Tatras, including the highest peak of the Western Tatras - Bystra (2248 m).
There are many hiking trails through the Kościelisko Valley. Strolling along them, you come across such as. Go to Jarcowa Skała (big limestone containing animal fossils), descent to the Raptawic Cave and Frozen Cave, Smreczyński Staw and many other natural tourist attractions.
In the Kościeliska Valley you can find many interesting and rare plants, such as the crocus, crocus, small or blue.
