The area of the national park located on the Varanger peninsula is 1804 km², it is home to representatives of the arctic fauna: reindeer, arctic foxes and wolverines. A tourist curiosity are the traces of the former Lapp settlement. The park is crossed by a network of hiking and biking trails, and there are also popular fishing grounds.
