The seat of the museum dedicated to the life and work of the Norwegian playwright Henryk Ibsen is the reconstruction of the writer's house in which he and his wife lived in the years 1895 - 1906. After the death of his wife, the house was demolished, only the studio and bedroom survived, transferred to the Norwegian Folklore Museum. The house was reconstructed on the 100th anniversary of the artist's death.
