St. Joachim Osogovski Monastery

Local name: Свети Јоаким Осоговски

The Orthodox monastery was founded in the 12th century, and the present appearance is due to several subsequent reconstructions. In the nineteenth century, added decorative paintings and frescoes that have survived to this day. Within the monastery there are two churches, two residential buildings, a belfry and the residence of the head of the Macedonian Orthodox church.
