The highest (2523 m asl) peak of the Durmitor range in the Dinaric Mountains was first conquered in 1883 by Oscar Baumann, a German explorer and cartographer, valued for research and mapping of Africa. Currently, several moderate difficulty mountain trails lead to the summit.
