Vianden Castle

A monumental castle standing on the site of a former Roman guardhouse. It was built in the 11th century, but has been rebuilt many times over the centuries. From a distance, you can see above all its Gothic main body with round towers complementing the defensive walls. Because the stronghold stands on a hill, it is visible from a long distance. The castle is open to the public, and inside you can see furniture and design elements from different eras.
