The Classicist Vilnius Town Hall delights not only with its monumentality and architecture, but also with its history, which attracts opera lovers. In the past, there was a theater here, and in 1848 the world premiere of Stanisław Moniuszko's "Halka" took place. Once the town hall was located in the middle of the square, it was gothic and had a clock tower, a weapons store and a courtroom.
