The Castle Museum is located in the basement of one of the city's strongholds, in the chamber of prince Frederick. The museum collection is devoted to the creation and development of the castle, which at one point became a stronghold, and after the Seven Years' War it fell into greater and greater ruin. The museum is one of the branches of the Historical Museum of Lithuania Minor and has been operating since 2002.
