Tortolì is one of the most important holiday resorts on the eastern coast of Sardinia. It is located in the vicinity of the most beautiful beaches on the island and offers a wide range of accommodation and leisure activities.
The town is situated on the high coast. Its old part is full of old fishermen's houses, which are now used for restaurants and bars. There is also a port that supports ferry connections, among others to Genoa and a marina for tourist boats.
Tortolì's biggest attraction is its beaches. They are covered with light sand, from which the turquoise color of the sea is beautifully distinguished. The most famous are Lido di Orri beach, Cala Ginepro beach and Porto Frailis beach.
The Red Rocks beach is extremely picturesque. It is chosen not only by vacationers, but also by divers. The coastal rocks are full of underwater caves and grottos, which make diving more attractive. It is not the only place used by fans of this sport. There are companies in Tortolì that organize diving trips on the surrounding coast. You can also rent water equipment and go on a boat trip along the shore.
