The bay and the beach on Sardinia's northwest coast are surrounded by cliffs. The landmarks of the place are historical monuments, especially the Torre de Bantine Sale tower. Nearby was the medieval village of Barace, whose inhabitants traded salt. Due to the significant wind and wave height, the beach is often visited by surfers and windsurfers.
