Pausilypon Archaeological Park

Local name: Parco Archeologico del Pausilypon

Archaeological park on Cape Posillipo, including the remains of Roman buildings from the first century BC to the 4th century AD, among others, remains of the amphitheater for about 2,000 people and a Roman villa belonging to one of the friends of Emperor Augustus. A 770 meter tunnel carved into the rock leads to the archaeological site.
