Cathedral of St Peter and Mark

Local name: Duomo di Santi Pietro e Marco

The cathedral was built in the second half of the 12th century and extended many times. Today it is a neoclassical church with a characteristic facade created by Christopher and Leopoldo Valizzone between 1820 and 1822, decorated with four frescoes by Luigi Vacca depicting episodes from the life of the apostle Peter. There is a beautiful, monumental organ inside.
