Irish National Heritage Park
The Irish National Heritage Park is an open-air museum that recreates the key stages of Ireland's cultural evolution, from the prehistoric period to the Norman conquest. Everyone is represented by buildings and structures that are characteristic of them. The guides are dressed in traditional Irish clothes. The park offers many attractions for children, such as making a cottage or searching for gold. There is also a gift shop and a restaurant.
The park is situated in forests and meadows on the bank of the Slaney River and covers an area of 14 ha. One of the museum's 180-meter trails takes visitors deep into the swamp forests, winding between ancient trees and water to show the conditions of life in Ireland during the Stone Age.
