Bamboo Park
Bamboo Park is located in Glengariff, in the south of Ireland. It is a tropical park with over 30 bamboo varieties, as well as palms and other plants from warmer climates.
The park was founded in 1999 by Serge de Thibault and his wife Claudine. It is modeled on a similar assumption from southern France. The park uses the traditions of the Glengariff gardens that have existed since 1910.
Thanks to the mild climate in the south of Ireland, the park is full of plants that are characteristic of the regions much further south. Its main wealth is numerous varieties of bamboo and palm trees. There are many picturesque paths through the park. You can admire, among other things, the view of the Glengariff harbor. You can also find thirteen stone poles, which, according to the local tradition, come from pre-Christian times.
