The Burren National Park, located in County Clare, Ireland. The site covers approximately 1,500 hectares. The unique nature that characterizes this corner of the world is protected here: first of all, lakes, cliffs and various types of rocks. The name Burren itself comes from the Irish words for "rocky place".
The dominant soil here is limestone, so it is in vain to look for a good soil for cultivation. However, we can find here many species of herbs and flowers, which makes the place attractive with its unique landscape. There are special paths listed here - by following the designated route, we have the opportunity to observe the most beautiful elements of the park. What's more, there will also be a guide who will tell us about the history, fauna and flora of this place. There are also organized events that encourage you to visit The Burren: photo competitions, attractions for children or themed tours with professionals.
