Jökulsárlón
Local name: Jökulsárlón
The lake was considered one of the natural wonders of Iceland. It is also the deepest lake in the country, measuring about 200 m deep. It has been gradually growing for years - since the 1970s it has increased its area fourfold. You can often find herds of seals here.
Glacier lagoon cruises take place on amphibious boats. They allow you to admire the picturesque views and get closer to the glacier itself. During the trip you can try what 1000-year-old ice tastes like, sometimes you can also see seals flowing here.
