Witch Tower

Local name: Hexenturm

The Witches' Tower is also sometimes called the Leaning Tower. It is a building from around 1150, which was added in the 14th century during the expansion of the city's fortifications. It is the only surviving one of the three medieval prison towers - probably women accused of witchcraft were imprisoned there.
