Riessersee

The lake is located south of Garmisch at an altitude of 785 m above sea level in the Wetterstein mountains. It was artificially created in the Middle Ages. A walking path runs around. In winter, the frozen lake is still used for ice skating and curling, and numerous sports competitions took place here.
