Monastery Fürstenfeld
Local name: Kloster Fürstenfeld
Former Cistercian monastery founded in the 13th century near Munich. After the secularization of monasteries in the early nineteenth century, it was used as a factory, and then university buildings. The monastery was cared for by the Wittelsbach family. Some of his representatives were buried there. Currently, the Baroque monastery buildings are the seat of one of the faculties of the local university and serve as places of cultural events.
