Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Korbinian

Local name: Dom St. Maria und St. Korbinian

The 12th-century temple is known primarily as the place where Pope Benedict XVI received priestly ordination. The originally Romanesque building was rebuilt many times. It currently has magnificent Baroque and Rococo decorations, including an altar work by Peter Paul Rubens (a copy, original owned by the Munich Pinakothek).
