Ettal Abbey Church

Benedictine monastery founded in 1330. The current appearance is due to the Baroque reconstruction from the beginning of the 18th century. The heart of the monastery is a church on a twelve-sided plan, covered with a high dome. Its wide facade is flanked by towers with bulbous finials. The interior has rich stucco and painting decorations. Baroque residential buildings are adjacent to the church.
