Hohenaschau Castle

The first castle on a 50-meter hill above the city was built in the 12th century. It owes its present shape to its last owner, Theodor von Cramer-Klett, who purchased it in the 19th century and made a general reconstruction. Fragments of the armory have survived from the original equipment. Currently, the castle is a excursion house and the seat of the regional museum.
