Saint-Apollinaire Cathedral

Local name: Cathédrale Saint-Apollinaire

Construction of the cathedral began in the 11th century, which makes it the oldest monument in the city. Despite a thorough reconstruction in the 18th century, the temple has retained the original features of Romanesque architecture and interior. There are numerous works of art and a mausoleum with the heart of Pope Pius VI.
