A beautiful promenade shaded by palm trees stretches between the beach and the busy Avenue de Lattre de Tassigny. The promenade is named after Aymeric Simon-Lorière (1944-1977), mayor of Sainte-Maxime, who ended his life in unclear circumstances (there are suspicions that the local mafia was behind his death).
