The Jonas Caves
Local name: Site troglodyte de Jonas
Forged by man in the soft limestone rocks of the Central Massif, the grottos were inhabited from around 400 BC to the Middle Ages. They were created by the Celts, and then developed by Christian monks. Visitors can see a system of corridors and chambers with preserved fragments of paintings and stonework.
