Ruins of Saint-Bertin Abbey

The first mentions of the Benedictine abbey come from the 8th century - its heyday took place in the 14th-16th centuries, when it was the center of intellectual and spiritual life. After the dissolution of the order at the end of the 18th century, the complex gradually fell into disrepair.
