Chassiron lighthouse

Local name: Phare De Chassiron

The lighthouse was launched in the first half XIX century and works to this day. The 43 m high building is located on a rocky cliff at the northern end of the island of Oléron. The lighthouse was entered in the register of French monuments. Inside there is a museum dedicated to fishing and the life of fishermen.
