The monumental cathedral was built in the 16th century. Its architecture is dominated by neoclassical style with elements of Gothic. The richly decorated interior attracts attention with numerous decorations, stuccoes and paintings. At the altar there are plates of a rare variety of marble, donated by Pope Pius IX.
