The Narbonnaise Regional Natural Park in the Mediterranean covers the area of extensive lagoon lakes and the Corbières mountain range. There are alluvial plains, hills, forests, sandy beaches and vineyards, small villages and seaside resorts. There are many protected animal species here.

Fish include eel and seahorse. Among the birds, this area is inhabited by golden eagle, southern eagle and Iberian dwarf Aesculapian snake is one of the most important reptiles. Aleppo pine, growing on hills, has a large share in the vegetation, there are also peat bogs.

The highest peak of the park is Montoullié Périllou in the Corbières mountains, reaching a height of 707 m above sea level. The most characteristic element of the landscape are the coastal lagoon lakes: Bages-Sigean, La Palme, Pissevaches, l'Ayrolle, Gruissanty. In the 70s of the twentieth century, many holiday resorts were established here.
