Rue de Hauchette is one of the oldest streets still existing in Paris. It leads from Saint Michael's Square to Notre Dame Cathedral. It is one of the largest clusters of restaurants and cafes in the city. There are also hotels and night clubs.
The street has been around since around 1200. In the Middle Ages it was famous for roast chicken sold here. Currently, it continues its culinary traditions, but there are most Greek restaurants here. The area is inhabited by many representatives of this community.
Rue de Hauchette is narrow and paved. The colorful windows of restaurants and souvenir shops invite you to enter. Life goes on here until late at night, when the clubs are open until almost morning.
