The oldest museum in Nice (founded in 1846) currently has about 1 million exhibits in the collection - plants, animals, minerals and fossils from the Mediterranean region, South America, Africa and the islands of the Indian Ocean. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to presenting the biodiversity of the French Riviera.
