Center Pompidou-Metz

Local name: Centre Pompidou-Metz

The Pompidou Center in Metz is the regional branch of this world-famous Paris art museum. In a modern building topped with a 77-meter spire, temporary exhibitions from the collection of the French National Museum of Contemporary Art are presented.

The center was established at the beginning of the 20th century. The first part of the building was put into use in 2008, and the grand opening took place 4 years later. It is currently the largest museum of modern art outside Paris. The glazed building with a metal mesh construction has the shape of a hexagon. Inside there are three independent galleries. Each year, the Center organizes 3-4 unique temporary exhibitions that are not shown anywhere else. This allows you to present a large spectrum of collections of the National Museum of Contemporary Art and bring them closer to recipients outside of Paris.
