La Major Cathedral

Local name: Cathédrale La Major

The cathedral, 142 m long and 70 m high, is one of the largest religious buildings in France. It was built in the Byzantine-Roman style in the years 1852-1896. Next to it are the remains of the previous, Romanesque cathedral from the 12th century, called Vieille Major.
