Locmariaquer is a small town on the Breton coast. It owes its fame to the accumulation of megaliths, which are one of the largest clusters of this type of monuments not only in France, but also throughout Europe.

The town is surrounded by wet meadows and swamps with walking paths. There is also a port from which fishermen go fishing for oysters. However, the greatest attraction of the Locmariaquer and the surrounding area are the local prehistoric monuments.

The Locmariaquer megaliths consist of several clusters consisting of mounds, barrows, tombs, dolmens, and remains of stone circles. The most famous are the Great Menhir Er Grah, the Dolmen and the Merchant Table Mound, Cairn and Tumulus Er Grah, Tumulus Mane Lud, the Mane Rethual Dolmen, the Er Houel Dolmen, the Mane-er-Hroueg Mound, the Kerlud Dolmen, and the Flat Stones Tomb.
