Founded in the 12th century, the monastery is famous as a place associated with the most important French poet, Pierre de Ronsard (1524-1585). The "prince of poets" was prior from 1565 until his death - he was buried in the local church. Carefully selected exhibits and multimedia make it possible to learn about Ronsard's biography, work and times.
