Collegiate Church of Saint-Aubin

Local name: Collégiale Saint-Aubin

The originally Romanesque temple was built in the 12th century, and its present form was shaped by extensions in the Gothic (14th century), Renaissance (16th century) and neo-Gothic (19th century) styles. According to the legend, in 919 the patron of the collegiate church was to appear in the form of a knight in white to help the people of Guérande fight off the cruel Vikings.
