Fort of Vaux

One of the forts belonging to the defense system of the Verdun fortress. It was built at the end of the 19th century and until 1914 it was rebuilt several times to meet the changing technology of warfare. It is a symbol of the French resistance during the First World War. The entire outline of the fort has been preserved, along with the partially destroyed neck barracks, a moat reinforced with a wall and the basement.
