Gothic cathedral built in the 12th century and consecrated by Pope Eugene III. is an example of a Gothic variety from Champagne, with later decorations using flaming Gothic features visible inside. Precious stained-glass windows of the twelfth century depicting scenes from the Holy Bible have survived to this day.
